Changelog

MusicOne

New

Export logs to Myriad Playout — You can now choose Myriad Playout as your station's automation software and export each day as a Myriad v5 .mml log, with Absolute Time, Soft Time and Script commands, chained items, network advert breaks, and split breaks for any spot break set to Local Break. Each hour is titled with its clock's name, and a new Playback option in each clock's menu lets you pick Live Assist or AutoFade. DROP and SWEEP checkboxes next to CHAIN let you choose which items Myriad may drop to reach a Soft Time and which ones sweep into the next item.

Preview legacy broadcast audio in your browser — MusicOne now converts audio your browser can't play on its own on the fly, so you can preview it straight from your studio's library through CloudSync. That covers the older broadcast formats still used by systems like AudioVault: MP1, MP2 and MP3 audio stored inside WAV and Broadcast Wave (BWF) files. Just press play, as you would for any other song, with nothing to convert or re-import.

A Plays column for your categories — Music categories have a new Plays column showing how many times each song or packet has played in its current category. Turn it on from “Customize columns”, then sort by it or include it when you export visible columns to CSV. Removing a day now also takes back the plays of its packet songs and linked intros and outros, and reverting an hour takes back the plays of songs you placed in it by hand.

Adverts from your traffic log (beta) — You can now merge the adverts from your traffic log into an exported schedule, once support has switched this on for your station. Before you export, the Adverts panel tells you how many of the day's adverts will be placed, and why any are left out. A spot break that will receive adverts shows a megaphone badge, and hovering over it lists each advert with its advertiser (or file name) and length.

Copy a day into a new custom format — In your Default week, a day's “Duplicate to” menu now has a “Custom format” option. Give the copy a name and you get a new custom format with that day's clocks, hour by hour, ready to edit.

Sort your library by cart number — You can now sort a category or library view by the Cart # column, in natural order, so cart 2 comes before cart 10. It stays fast on large libraries.

AudioVault logs now include your breaks — Exported AudioVault logs now include a break line for every spot break, sized to that break's length, rounded up to whole minutes. AVScheduler then creates the break, and your traffic system can merge its spots into it.

Mark a category as voice tracks — A category can now be marked as voice tracks. Your exported logs then carry the voice track code for those items, so they reach AudioVault as voicetracks rather than ordinary audio.

Time Sync command for AudioVault — You can now add a Time Sync command to a clock from the AudioVault palette, and it exports correctly without anyone converting it for you.

Export logs to StationPlaylist — You can now choose StationPlaylist Studio or StationPlaylist Creator as your station's automation software. Studio receives one playlist for each hour, and Creator one log for each day.

Improved

Logs reach your studio straight away — The CloudSync button no longer queues your logs. Each day is written straight to your studio and marked as synced only once CloudSync confirms the files arrived, and if other days are waiting you're asked whether to sync just this day or all of them. If CloudSync isn't connected, you're shown your export path and can download the log instead, and when you're syncing several days that screen offers to send them as soon as CloudSync is back.

CloudSync asks before re-sending a day — Pressing CloudSync on a day the studio already has now asks before sending it again, says when it was last sent, and warns that changes made at the studio since, such as merged adverts, may be replaced. The History panel in the schedule sidebar has a new Synced row showing when the day last reached the studio. A quick double click on CloudSync or Download now sends or downloads the day only once.

Fewer manual stops from restricted hours — The scheduler now fills its search depth only with songs that can air in that hour, so a song restricted in that hour no longer causes a needless manual stop. A song restricted in every hour of the week is left out of rotation instead of blocking its category, and the Restricted Hours tab tells you so when you select every hour.

Forgotten 00:00 time markers are caught — Time markers now always show their time on clock and schedule rows, 00:00 included. A marker left at 00:00 below the top of the hour can make your automation skip everything before it, so it now gets an amber warning, and the player command dialog won't save it until you set the time it should fire, such as 59:59. A 00:00 marker at the very top of the hour is still fine.

Category filters look inside packets — Filtering a category by tempo, gender or sound code now checks the songs inside packets too. A packet shows only when one of its songs matches, and it opens to list just those songs with a count such as “1 of 3 items”. Shift-click, drag-select and the media dialog's previous and next buttons now only move through the songs you can see.

MusicOne imports bring across more of your clocks — Importing a legacy MusicOne (.m1) file now keeps clock commands and sweep markers on Myriad stations, macros such as RELAY 1 on Simian stations, and, where it safely can, clock positions that play straight from a packet. The email telling you your station is ready now lists what the import left out, including how many clock items could not be brought across.

More protection for your account and Sync API Key — Adding a passkey now asks for your password (and your two-factor code, if it's on), and you get an email whenever a passkey is added. Turning on two-factor authentication or choosing “Set up again” for your authenticator app now asks you to confirm it's you first, and resetting your password signs you out on every browser and device. The Sync API Key in Preferences → CloudSync is now shown only to the organisation owner and organisation settings editors.

New release notes are easier to spot — When you have unread release notes, the whole megaphone button in the top bar is now tinted green instead of showing a small dot. It lights up again when new entries are published to this month's notes, even if you already opened them.

Fixed

Rules see the songs next to production slots — Clock slots that play from a production category are now always labeled Production, so your rules check the songs on either side of them correctly. Where a wrong label used to hide a problem, you may see a new rule warning or manual stop on newly generated days. The clock editor now tells you when linked intro or outro tracks are removed from a production slot, and the schedule's Replace menu offers the same categories as the clock editor.

Stay signed in through brief interruptions — A brief connection hiccup no longer signs you out of the dashboard or signs CloudSync out, and both reconnect on their own. Logging out now also signs out your other open tabs straight away.

Imports keep your cart numbers — When an imported MusicOne, MusicMaster or PowerGold database gives the same cart to several items, the import now gives that cart to an item in one of your categories rather than simply the first one listed, so the copy that airs keeps its cart in your exported logs. Items that sit only in a legacy “(new …)” folder now land in New, and those only in a “(deleted …)” or “(network …)” folder land in Unassigned. None of these folders becomes a category anymore in a MusicOne import or from PlayoutONE through CloudSync, and if you already have one, new PlayoutONE carts no longer join it.

PlayIt logs point at the right track — Exported PlayIt logs now name your tracks the way your station looks them up, so rows stop being rejected when you import them. Stations that match on cart number keep working exactly as before.

Advert breaks keep the right time — In an exported PlayIt log, the advert break markers now show the running clock like every other line. They used to jump backwards in time.

Unassigned shows what is really unassigned — The Unassigned view now works out what is assigned from your categories and packets, instead of a stored flag that had previously drifted out of sync.

Preview days match the real schedule — On a day that isn't generated yet, the schedule preview now follows each clock item's restricted hours the same way the generated schedule does. It no longer shows items the real hour leaves out, so dropping a song onto one no longer fails.

Removing an artist or sound code finishes cleanly — Removing an artist or sound code now either completes fully or changes nothing, so songs are no longer left carrying a deleted sound code. A sound code that a rule still uses can't be deleted, and tracks linked to a removed song, artist or sound code can have their links edited again.

CSV imports no longer fail on a few rows — A CSV library import no longer fails completely when a few cart numbers already belong to the other media type, songs or tracks. Those rows are skipped and named, the rest of the file imports, and the preview now warns you when a file looks like it belongs in the other library.

Station settings stay on their own station — In Preferences → Stations, saving the Station settings of a station other than the one you have selected no longer puts its name and settings on your selected station. The station you edited now shows its new settings without a reload.

Changelog

MusicOne

New

Automation settings per station — Each station now has its own automation software, log filename convention and audio path. You pick them when you create the station and change them later in its settings, so each station exports in its own automation's format.

Import a PowerGold backup — You can now import a PowerGold backup (.pgb) when setting up a station, bringing across categories, songs, rotations, artists, clocks and every week grid. The file is trimmed in your browser before it uploads, so a 1GB backup starts importing in about a second.

Schedule a week in one go — Use "Schedule until" to schedule a run of days at once, skipping days you have already done and using each day's own weekday format. You can then sync or download every pending day together, as a flat zip that drops straight into your automation's logs folder.

Keep working during a manual stop — When scheduling parks at a manual stop, you can now fill future slots from their own search depth to free up the stuck one, then press Resume to carry on. Songs you place by hand are never overwritten when the run resumes.

See every rule a song breaks — A new optional Violations column shows every rule each scheduled song currently breaks, including breakable ones the manual stop panel never showed. It updates as you drag, swap and add songs, and it works on schedules you generated before now.

Four more automations supported — Jazler, iMediaTouch, Audisi and StationPlaylist (in both its Studio and Creator formats) can now be picked as your station's automation.

Copy and paste clock items — Copy a single clock item or a whole selection and paste them into the same clock or another one. Selected rows also get a right-click menu that previously opened nothing.

Improved

Screens update without a full reload — Editing a rule, clock, format, category or song now repaints straight away instead of reloading your whole account. Lists keep your scroll position, so the category list no longer jumps to the top after you edit a song. Rows that are still loading now show as loading rather than as "not found".

The dashboard works better on mobile — You can now use the dashboard on a phone, with the station picker and page links folded into a drawer. Help and What's new menus sit next to your avatar.

Click a filled slot to replace it — In the schedule, left-click any filled song or track slot to open the Replace panel — the same as right-click → Replace, without the menu. Press Esc to close the Replace or Add-media panel.

Schedule reminders reach the whole team — The "tomorrow's schedule isn't ready" reminder now goes to everyone who can edit the station, not just the account owner — so on a shared station it is less likely to be missed.

Fixed

AudioVault logs import in full — AudioVault now accepts your whole exported log. Hours made up entirely of tracks no longer import blank, and carts of eight digits or more are no longer cut short and reported as missing. Re-export your logs to pick this up.

Simian logs now carry real sync cues, macros, next-day chaining and spot breaks, so your exported log will sync where before it could not.

Shuffling a category no longer freezes — Shuffling a large category no longer locks up the app for everyone using it. A search depth you type by hand is now capped so scheduling stays fast.

Library uploads work again — Uploading a library file during station setup works again after it started failing for everyone. Files are compressed in your browser first, so a 60MB library uploads as about 9MB, and the Cart ID field now defaults to UID so there is one less mapping to set by hand. MusicMaster files that used to stop partway through now import in full.

CloudSync

New

Category moves sync to PlayoutONE — Moving a song to another category in MusicOne now writes that category across to PlayoutONE, and each station reads its own PlayoutONE categories rather than the first station's. It is switched on per station, so nothing changes until you turn it on.

Fixed

Schedules and category changes reach your automation — On stations that aren't using media sync, CloudSync now delivers downloaded schedules and category changes to your automation instead of leaving them queued.

Setup no longer picks the wrong music library — When connecting to PlayoutONE, CloudSync no longer auto-selects the wrong store as your music library, and if the wrong one was picked before, you can now change it.

Changelog

MusicOne

New

Light theme for the dashboard — You can now switch the whole dashboard to a light theme from the account menu. Every screen works in it, including the navbar, categories, clocks, rules, schedules, settings, charts, dialogs and the public pages. Dark mode is unchanged, and if your computer is set to light mode the controls now look right whichever theme you pick.

Choose how dates and times appear — You can now pick your own date format, 12 or 24-hour clock, and which day your week starts on. Your choice applies everywhere dates and times are shown, including the calendar, schedule headers, history and billing.

Station timezone and next-day reminder — Each station now has its own timezone. At local noon the owner gets an email listing any stations whose next-day schedule isn't finished, with a link straight to that day.

Violations column on the schedule — You can now turn on a Violations column in the schedule listing. It re-checks a finished day against your current rules and shows you which songs break them, including on days with manual stops and for read-only users.

Pick rules to disregard for a day — Before you generate a day you can now tick which rules to ignore for it. Once the day is generated the list is shown read-only.

Cart numbers that fill themselves in — A cart number can now hold a template built from the date, hour, weekday or a track counter, and it expands when you export the log. Voice tracks number themselves the way they did in M1 Pro, and an insert-variable menu shows you what you can use.

Export to Rivendell and ENCO DAD — You can now export your schedules for Rivendell and for ENCO DAD. Pick either one during onboarding or in station settings.

Intro, outro and ending markers — Songs and productions now carry an intro marker, an outro marker and a Cold or Fade ending. You can edit them in the media dialog, see them as listing columns, bring them in from legacy .m1 files and CSV, export them, and sync them both ways with PlayoutONE. On a CSV update an Extro column maps to Outro, and a file with Intro, Ramp or Ending headers will overwrite what you set in the dialog.

Improved

Rule flexibility and category scope — Every rule and rule setting now shows a measured flexibility percentage while you edit it, so you can see how much room a rule leaves before you save it. You can also scope a rule to specific categories now, not just clocks.

Replace opens on what's next up — The Replace panel now opens on the songs actually next up in that slot's category, in rotation order, with violations and last-play history in view. Search is one click away when you want something else.

CSV import reads more of your file — CSV import can now map Category, Sound Codes and Mood columns, creating any categories and sound codes that don't exist yet and showing you a preview of what it will create. Files that aren't UTF-8 now import with their accented characters intact instead of question marks.

Fixed

Rule warnings you can trust — The violation warnings shown when you add or replace a song are now correct. Legal songs no longer pick up phantom badges, no rule is quietly skipped, and a manual stop names the nearest offending play rather than a distant one. This applies on both web and mobile.

WAIT holds run their full length — A WAIT hold for a syndicated feed now runs for as long as you set it, instead of ending after about two minutes. The length shows on the item, clock item lengths go up to 999:59, and the old Time field and its "Time is required" error are gone.

PlayoutONE edits save again — When you edit a song in PlayoutONE the change now applies in MusicOne. Before, the same tracks kept re-sending every 15 seconds and the edit never stuck.

Library data no longer quietly lost — A track's artist is now editable, sortable and exportable, and saving no longer blanks it. A CSV export carries every column you see on screen, including Category, and countdown and selection categories export real data instead of "Media not found". Re-importing no longer overwrites durations, file paths, titles or artists that the file didn't contain.

Your saved view settings stick — Your column order, panel visibility, search sort and KPI mode no longer reset when you reload. You will see one last reset on your first load after this update, and after that your choices stay put.

Legacy imports finish instead of stopping — A legacy database import that lists the same sound code twice no longer crashes partway through, and an import no longer fails if a sync arrives while it is running.

Artist spacing and rotation corrections — High-rotation artists now get the shortened separation your station slider implies, and the slider saves reliably from an Advanced card. A song pulled forward early can no longer air again before the song it skipped. Expect spacing and rotation to look different from before.

CloudSync

New

Choose which stations get synced media — You can now decide which MusicOne stations synced media lands on. Map your PlayoutONE player types to stations, and tick more than one station to sync a library as. Songs already shared across every station stay as they are.

NextKast sync — CloudSync now works two-way with NextKast. It syncs your whole library, keeps up with ongoing changes, and treats a renamed file as a move rather than a lost cart.

Improved

Synced songs arrive already filed — Songs synced from your playout system now land in a matching station category, and the category is created if it doesn't exist yet. A full library import shows how far it has got as N of M, and works out its statistics once at the end rather than after every batch.

Changelog

MusicOne

New

Invite your team, station by station — You can now invite colleagues on the Team screen and give each person viewer or editor access on each station. Viewers see the product read-only, with every editing control switched off.

New Song Filter clock item — Add a Song Filter to a clock and it fills the slot with the most overdue song matching your own criteria across categories, including two-fers that match the artist or year of the song before or after. If you later edit the neighbour it depends on, the filter picks again. A song you chose by hand always stays.

Create a station from MusicMaster — You can now create a station by importing a MusicMaster database file (.mmd), alongside the existing Music 1 import.

Improved

Tune how far apart artists play — The artist separation rule now has a slider that sets how far apart an artist is kept, instead of a fixed 50% of turnover. It shows only when artists actually qualify. Station settings also has a switch for symmetrical search depth.

Choose your schedule columns — You can now choose which columns you see in the schedule and in the replace and add panels, including tempo, gender, sound codes, length, cart number, hit year and last plays. The candidate list scrolls smoothly with load more instead of paging. Adding a specific song now shows rule violations too.

Edit song details from the list — Tempo, gender and sound codes can now be changed straight from a song's row in a category, including songs inside packets. You no longer need to open the media dialog to set them.

CSV imports match your columns — A library CSV no longer needs exact headers. Columns are detected for you, so a raw NextKast export imports with no extra step, and you only see the mapping dialog when the file is ambiguous. Rows with an empty or duplicate cart ID are skipped with a warning instead of failing the import.

Errors written in plain english — Errors now read as plain english instead of codes like clock_is_assigned_to_format. They also tell you the specific reason an action failed rather than a general failure.

Category lists behave like a table — The whole row is now the hit target in a category list, ctrl-click selects and double-click opens the song card. You can also sort by rotation stack, search by cart ID in the library and in clock media pickers, and search the rules list.

Fixed

Linked artists count as one act — Linked artists are now treated as a single act, and artists connected only through a shared partner are no longer treated as linked to each other. A shuffled category also no longer clashes the same artist where the rotation wraps around.

Songs air in rotation order — Only songs from the real rotation pool go to air. When a search has to fall back, the song goes to the manual stop list instead of being picked early. Countdown categories air the highest rank first, so top lists no longer need their ranks reversed by hand.

PlayIt Live export now correct — Exporting for PlayIt Live now produces a real .pipl log with the right header, per hour blocks, cart IDs, spot breaks as Merge Start and End, and a yymmdd filename, instead of a mislabelled mAirList file. Exports for m3u, DPL, NexGen, WideOrbit and AudioVault no longer come out with blank titles and artists.

Schedule editing no longer errors — Reordering or adding items on a day that is not scheduled yet now works, and so does finishing or removing items when a clock points at a category you have emptied. Picking a song for a slot that is already filled no longer corrupts the item.

Song cards show real play counts — A song's card now shows its true total plays instead of always showing 0. Songs you have just imported show an imported entry rather than an empty history.

Typing durations in rules works — The first digit you type now replaces what is in a duration field instead of being added to it, so times go in first time. The clock length rule shows your real longest and shortest clock length instead of 00:00.

Category figures count packet songs — Category and clock overviews now count the songs inside packets. Turnover, weekly and daily spins, song counts and the tempo and gender bars are right for categories that use packets, instead of treating each packet as one blank item.

CloudSync

New

CloudSync now works with PlayIt Live — CloudSync syncs both ways with PlayIt Live, so a PlayIt station can run its library through MusicOne.

Sync only what has changed — If your library is already in the cloud, you can choose a changes only sync instead of uploading the whole library again. You pick this in the new sync mode dialog.

Improved

CloudSync follows your system theme — CloudSync now matches your computer's light or dark setting across all its screens. It switches as soon as you change the setting, with no white flash at launch.

Fixed

CloudSync spots a dropped connection — CloudSync now notices within seconds when a connection has silently dropped after sleep, a network change or a timeout, and reconnects. It no longer sits there showing connected while nothing is syncing.

Changelog

MusicOne

New

Group songs into packets — You can now group several songs into a packet inside a category, so they rotate, schedule and report as a single item. Create, reorder, expand, ungroup and assign packets straight from the category list.

Search the library from your schedule — You can now search your whole library from the schedule to add or replace any song or track. Filters, colour-coded chips and paging help you find it, and rule violations are shown before you commit.

Automation sync manages your library — With automation sync switched on, edits you make in MusicOne are pushed to your playout system. Adding, removing or retyping cart number, length and path is blocked, with an alert telling you the library is managed by automation.

NextKast and AudioVault log exports — NextKast and AudioVault are now in the automation software list. If you run either one, you can export your logs straight from MusicOne.

Play a song from the schedule — You can now play a song straight from the schedule list, and from rule violation rows. There is no need to open a separate player to check a pick.

Improved

Sound codes get colours — You can now create a sound code and choose its colour as you do it. The category list also stays put instead of shifting sideways when a song has no codes.

Automation settings move to your organisation — You can now set your automation software and log file naming once for the whole organisation, on the new Automation Software preferences page. The old per-station automation and file name fields are gone, and a Syncing enabled badge shows you where sync is on.

One API key for your organisation — Your organisation now has a single key, on the new API Keys preferences page where you can copy it or regenerate it. The old per-station keys are gone, so anything connected to MusicOne needs linking again once.

Schedules fit narrow screens — The schedule page now fits a laptop or a half-width window. Columns shrink or drop away below 1100 pixels, long titles are cut short instead of spilling over, and headings stay above the list as you scroll.

Rules warn when nothing is selected — Rule forms now say Scope where they used to say Apply to. If a rule has no clocks or categories selected, you get a warning, so you can see it will never apply.

Fixed

Library numbers stay right after syncs — When the playout system deletes songs in bulk, category order, average length, turnover and rule stats are now updated instead of leaving old numbers on screen. Whether a cart is a song or production also comes from the playout system rather than being guessed from its length.

Legacy Music 1 imports land correctly — Importing a legacy Music 1 database now brings restricted hours across correctly, so songs keep the hours your station blocked. Names holding several artists are split on commas, so each artist is recorded properly.

Large library imports finish — Large library imports now complete instead of running out of memory, and they finish noticeably faster.

Rotation history opens at the newest — Rotation history now opens on the most recent day at the bottom of the list, and keeps your place when older days load. The day you asked for is no longer left out.

Double-click to open a song — Double-click a row to open the song's details. Drag selection no longer starts on a stray pixel of mouse movement, so the double-click gets through.

Artist field shows the right artists — The artist selector in the song dialog now keeps up when artists are changed or merged elsewhere. When the list is shortened, the artists appear in the right order.

CloudSync

New

Import your PlayoutONE library — You can now pick your automation software in CloudSync, connect to PlayoutONE and send the full library to MusicOne with one click on Import, watching a progress bar as it runs. Gender, tempo, artists, file paths and song or production type come across with it.

Your MusicOne edits reach PlayoutONE — Edits you make in MusicOne are now written back into PlayoutONE by CloudSync. They arrive shortly after you make them, rather than waiting for the next full cycle.

Improved

CloudSync links with your organisation key — CloudSync now links to your organisation using the key from the dashboard instead of a user login, so a new key is picked up on its own. If CloudSync is already installed, link it once more.

Fixed

Syncing survives sleep and hiding — Syncing keeps running when the machine goes to sleep or the CloudSync window is hidden. A dropped connection no longer leaves a sync cycle stuck forever.
