May 2026 — Packets, library search and more

Song packets, library-wide search from any slot, organisation-level automation settings, and two-way syncing with PlayoutONE.

MusicOne

New

Group songs into packets — You can now group several songs into a packet inside a category, so they rotate, schedule and report as a single item. Create, reorder, expand, ungroup and assign packets straight from the category list.

Search the library from your schedule — You can now search your whole library from the schedule to add or replace any song or track. Filters, colour-coded chips and paging help you find it, and rule violations are shown before you commit.

Automation sync manages your library — With automation sync switched on, edits you make in MusicOne are pushed to your playout system. Adding, removing or retyping cart number, length and path is blocked, with an alert telling you the library is managed by automation.

NextKast and AudioVault log exports — NextKast and AudioVault are now in the automation software list. If you run either one, you can export your logs straight from MusicOne.

Play a song from the schedule — You can now play a song straight from the schedule list, and from rule violation rows. There is no need to open a separate player to check a pick.

Improved

Sound codes get colours — You can now create a sound code and choose its colour as you do it. The category list also stays put instead of shifting sideways when a song has no codes.

Automation settings move to your organisation — You can now set your automation software and log file naming once for the whole organisation, on the new Automation Software preferences page. The old per-station automation and file name fields are gone, and a Syncing enabled badge shows you where sync is on.

One API key for your organisation — Your organisation now has a single key, on the new API Keys preferences page where you can copy it or regenerate it. The old per-station keys are gone, so anything connected to MusicOne needs linking again once.

Schedules fit narrow screens — The schedule page now fits a laptop or a half-width window. Columns shrink or drop away below 1100 pixels, long titles are cut short instead of spilling over, and headings stay above the list as you scroll.

Rules warn when nothing is selected — Rule forms now say Scope where they used to say Apply to. If a rule has no clocks or categories selected, you get a warning, so you can see it will never apply.

Fixed

Library numbers stay right after syncs — When the playout system deletes songs in bulk, category order, average length, turnover and rule stats are now updated instead of leaving old numbers on screen. Whether a cart is a song or production also comes from the playout system rather than being guessed from its length.

Legacy Music 1 imports land correctly — Importing a legacy Music 1 database now brings restricted hours across correctly, so songs keep the hours your station blocked. Names holding several artists are split on commas, so each artist is recorded properly.

Large library imports finish — Large library imports now complete instead of running out of memory, and they finish noticeably faster.

Rotation history opens at the newest — Rotation history now opens on the most recent day at the bottom of the list, and keeps your place when older days load. The day you asked for is no longer left out.

Double-click to open a song — Double-click a row to open the song's details. Drag selection no longer starts on a stray pixel of mouse movement, so the double-click gets through.

Artist field shows the right artists — The artist selector in the song dialog now keeps up when artists are changed or merged elsewhere. When the list is shortened, the artists appear in the right order.

CloudSync

New

Import your PlayoutONE library — You can now pick your automation software in CloudSync, connect to PlayoutONE and send the full library to MusicOne with one click on Import, watching a progress bar as it runs. Gender, tempo, artists, file paths and song or production type come across with it.

Your MusicOne edits reach PlayoutONE — Edits you make in MusicOne are now written back into PlayoutONE by CloudSync. They arrive shortly after you make them, rather than waiting for the next full cycle.

Improved

CloudSync links with your organisation key — CloudSync now links to your organisation using the key from the dashboard instead of a user login, so a new key is picked up on its own. If CloudSync is already installed, link it once more.

Fixed

Syncing survives sleep and hiding — Syncing keeps running when the machine goes to sleep or the CloudSync window is hidden. A dropped connection no longer leaves a sync cycle stuck forever.
